Job summary

OSJCT Group in Melksham is seeking a Facilities Officer to join Melksham Gardens, our brand-new 80-bed care home opening in 2027. You’ll maintain heating, lighting and the building fabric, and carry out health and safety checks as part of a small, friendly team.

The role offers £15.00 per hour, 37.5 hours per week, on-site work, and benefits including PPE, ongoing training, and opportunities as the home develops from mobilisation to first residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong practical skills for building maintenance.
• Ability to work in an elderly care setting with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heating and lighting systems.
• Maintain the overall fabric of the building.
• Carry out regular boiler and water system checks.
• Perform health and safety checks.
