Job summary

Hillbeck Care Home in Maidstone is seeking a dedicated kitchen assistant to support the Head Chef. You will work as part of the kitchen team to assist with food preparation and maintain high hygiene standards.

You will follow the cleaning schedule, use the supplied chemicals safely, and ensure washing up is completed promptly. This role suits someone who works well in a busy team within a care-home environment. Experience in catering or care settings is helpful.

Responsibilities

• To clean up as you go and ensure all washing up/putting away is undertaken making use of the company chemicals supplied.
• To assist with the preparation of food in readiness for the Head Chef/Cook
• To adhere to the kitchen cleaning schedule and document all cleaning undertaken as part of the team.Charing Healthcare has been providing care since 1998.We are a proactive company with family origins and now have 10 care homes across Kent and Medway.
