Job summary

Orchard Care Homes Ltd is seeking a Bank Chef/Cook to join our Preston home. You will plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals, supervise the kitchen team, handle food orders and stock, and ensure hygiene standards are met in line with food safety guidelines.

You will work with care staff to accommodate dietary needs, texture-modified diets, and allergens, while maintaining quality and a warm, welcoming dining environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, and Infection Prevention and Control policies.
• Knowledge of texture modified diets and creating specific meal plans to suit individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals that cater to individual preferences and dietary requirements.
• Supervise a dedicated kitchen team, manage food orders and stock levels.
• Maintain daily cleaning schedules and ensure areas meet Food Safety Manual requirements.
