Job summary

MHA in Colwyn Bay is seeking a skilled Chef to join our catering team, delivering nutritious meals that support residents’ health and wellbeing. You will prepare and serve meals while respecting dietary needs and cultural preferences.

This role requires HACCP knowledge, teamwork, and flexibility to work a 7-day rota. You will help manage kitchen operations, supervise assistants, and contribute to a culture of dignity and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in care, hospitality, restaurant or pub settings.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals for residents, visitors and staff.
• Plan menus with Home Manager to meet dietary needs and dementia considerations.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety and HACCP; keep records.
