Job summary

HC-One in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Chef for a bank contract at Woodthorpe Lodge care home kitchen. You will prepare and serve wholesome, homemade meals that meet nutritional needs and bring comfort to Residents daily.

You will hold an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery and a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, with HACCP knowledge and a creative approach to menu planning. A team player with a caring attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified cook with NVQ2 in catering or equivalent.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certification required.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety.
• Creative menu planning and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wholesome, homemade meals meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety.
• Collaborate with care home team to deliver nourishing, appetising meals.
