Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking a committed Chef for a care home in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. You will plan and prepare meals, cater to dietary needs, and supervise kitchen staff in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2-3 in Food preparation and catering is required.
• Proven chef experience, ideally in healthcare or hospitality.
• Ability to create nutritious menus meeting dietary needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration with residents and staff.
• Skilled in time management and working under pressure.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus in consultation with residents and management.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking and service according to menus.
• Ensure displayed menus show choices for residents.
• Cater for special diets and cultural needs with suitable options.
• Check stock quality and quantity; place orders as needed.
• Supervise kitchen team and maintain HACCP processes.
• Keep catering manual and HACCP records up to date.
