Akari Care Limited is seeking an Assistant Cook for a care home kitchen serving older residents. The role focuses on menu planning, preparing nutritious meals that respect individual, religious and cultural needs, and presenting meals to residents on trolleys.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create menus that meet residents' individual needs
• Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals
• Ensure meals meet religious, cultural and personal dietary requirements
• Plate food and arrange food trolleys so meals appeal to residents
• Act as the link between the kitchen and the serving areas
• Coach and guide kitchen staff with their personal development
• Lead by example in the kitchen
