Job summary

Akari Care Limited is seeking a Kitchen/Catering Assistant to join a care home team and support the daily kitchen operations. You will work with the Cook and catering staff to prepare meals, plate dishes, and ensure residents receive a high-quality, personal service.

The role requires kitchen and food preparation experience, a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and a caring, adaptive attitude to meet diverse resident needs in a supportive environment.

• Experience of working within similar care/home environment.
• Kitchen and food preparation experience required.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the smooth running of kitchen operations in collaboration with the Cook and catering team.
• Contribute to menu creation and food preparation.
• Plate meals, arrange trolleys and ensure timely service to residents.
• Support residents with personalised service and respect dietary and cultural needs.
• Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
