Job summary

Devon County Council is looking for two enthusiastic Personal Advisors to join their Care Experienced team in South & West Devon. The successful candidates must establish trusting relationships with young people aged 16-25 years in care or leaving care.

They will provide essential social care support to enhance life chances, safety, education, and independence. The roles available include one permanent and one fixed-term position, both requiring 37 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working directly with young people, families, and carers.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation including the Children Act and the Children Leaving Care Act.
• A sound understanding of child and adolescent development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality and effective social care support to young people.
• Manage and monitor a workload of cases as directed.
• Write timely reports for young people, including plans and risk assessments.

Skills
