Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a Personal Advisor to guide care-experienced young people aged 16 to 25 toward independence. You will build meaningful relationships, help develop and review Pathway Plans, and ensure the young person’s voice stays at the heart of every decision.

You will support housing, education or employment goals, advocate with partner agencies, and coordinate services across Oxfordshire to enable positive futures.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator capable of building trust with young people and professionals.
• Able to assess needs, develop plans and advocate effectively for service users.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with care-experienced young people to support independence.
• Create and review Pathway Plans centred on the young person's voices and ambitions.
• Advocate with housing providers, health services, and partner agencies to secure opportunities.
• Coordinate services and manage a caseload across Oxfordshire to ensure timely support.
