Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare in Cardiff is seeking a Care Coordinator to join our West 3 team. You will support the Branch Care Manager, coordinate carers, and ensure every visit is well-planned so customers receive reliable, compassionate care.

The role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or willingness to work towards it), experience in care (ideally supervisory), a full UK driving licence, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Experience in the care sector, ideally in a supervisory role.
• A good understanding of CQC/CIW regulatory standards and best practice.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Strong communication skills, confidence in decision-making and a supportive, people-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Support your Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across your local area.
• Allocate carers effectively so customers receive consistent, high-quality support.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time, helping carers grow and maintain great practice.
• Help recruit and onboard new carers, strengthening the branch’s capacity and community impact.
• Review and update care plans so they reflect each customer’s needs, preferences and wellbeing.
• Look for opportunities to grow the branch, supporting local engagement and commercial activity.
• Champion brilliant customer service, ensuring every interaction feels considered and kind.
