Job summary

Right at Home Harrogate is seeking an experienced Care Coordinator to manage daily client and caregiver communications and care scheduling. You will work within a friendly, award-winning team that values its staff and offers ongoing training and development opportunities.

The role involves coordinating care plans across Harrogate and surrounding areas, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carers.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service setting, building up relationships – Essential
• Use of a scheduling / HR / recording system – Desirable
• Relevant qualification, such as Business Studies or Social Care – Desirable
• Previous Domiciliary Care experience – Desirable

Responsibilities

• Be accountable to the Registered Manager for the smooth running of day-to-day Client/ Care Assistant communication
• Ensure outstanding compliance across the business and support the business in achieving a minimum of Good
• Manage scheduling to maximise care time and travel efficiency
• Promote company policies and uptake of training/CPD
• Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally; handle enquiries
• Record changes to Client or Care Assistant needs promptly with details
• Communicate changes quickly to all relevant parties and keep records up to date
• Log complaints and Care Assistant feedback using proper procedures
• Provide high-quality care services to clients in their own homes
• Collaborate with management to identify recruitment needs for safe delivery of care
• Maintain clear communication to manage Care Assistant expectations
• Register new Care Assistants and Clients on the system promptly
• Report weekly on recruitment gaps, rotas, risks and availability
• Match suitable Care Assistants to each package
• Produce fortnightly rosters and distribute rotas
• Monitor and record Care Assistant holidays and absences
