Job summary

Home Instead is seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator in Gloucester to champion compliance and elevate the quality of in-home care. You will manage client care, lead a team, and ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of person-centered service.

Ideal candidates are organized, can work independently in a remote environment, and possess strong communication abilities. The role includes on-call duties and opportunities to engage in local networking and marketing events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
  • Excellent, clear telephone manner.
  • Experience in care sector preferred but not essential.
  • Access to reliable transport for local travel.
  • Proficient with MS Office and ability to learn new digital systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Client Experience team, fostering a positive culture and managing client relationships, reviews and communications.
  • Conduct new client consultations, complete paperwork, and create/audit digital care plans.
  • Create and maintain visit schedules and update records on care management systems.
  • Identify training needs from audits and ensure compliance with company policies and CQC regulations.
  • Participate in on-call rota and support field staff during emergencies.
  • Maintain a cost-saving mindset and participate in local networking and marketing events.

Bring your sharp mind, systems expertise, and caring heart to a role that truly matters. We are hiring a self-motivated Care Coordinator to champion compliance and elevate our quality of care.

  • As a Care Coordinator, you will manage client care, lead a dedicated team, and ensure smooth, compliant daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Client & Team Management: Lead the Client Experience team, foster a positive culture, and manage client relationships, reviews, and communications.
  • Assessments & Care Planning: Conduct new client consultations, complete necessary paperwork, and create/audit digital care plans.
  • Scheduling & Systems: Create and maintain precise visit schedules and update records on our care management systems.
  • Quality & Compliance: Identify training needs from audits and ensure compliance with all company policies and CQC regulations.
  • Operational Flexibility: Participate in the on-call rota and support field staff during emergencies (which may include undertaking care visits if needed).
  • Growth & Value: Maintain a cost-saving mindset in all actions and participate in local networking and marketing events.
What We Are Looking for:

For we are looking for an intelligent, self-driven, and highly organised individual who fits the following criteria:

  • Sector Knowledge: Experience in the care sector is preferred but not essential. Candidates from outside the care sector who excel in this role usually come from fast-paced, customer-centric environments that require a mix of logistics, people management, and strict compliance. For example Medical and Dental receptionists, Legal assistants, Conveyancing secretaries, school administrators/Exam Officers, Call centre team leaders, Hotel Front office supervisors, Duty managers in retail etc.
  • Tech & System Skills: Proficient with standard Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a proven ability to learn new digital systems quickly.
  • Education & Communication: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) and an excellent, clear telephone manner.
  • Mobility: Access to a reliable means of transport is required for local travel.
  • Knowledge of in-home care or senior care services is an advantage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare, social services, or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Information
  • Pay: Competitive, based on your experience and skills.
  • Probation: Subject to a successful 6-month probation period.
  • Vetting: This role is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, Right to Work (RTW) checks, and reference checks.
