Job summary

Helping Hands Home Care in Gateshead is recruiting a Care Coordinator to keep extraordinary care running smoothly in the East 7 region. Working with the Branch Care Manager, you’ll support carers, customers and the community to ensure visits are well-planned and consistently high quality.

You’ll recruit and onboard new carers, review care plans, and help grow the branch while maintaining a people-first approach and excellent customer service in every interaction.

Qualifications

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Experience in the care sector, ideally in a supervisory role.
  • Understanding of CQC/CIW regulatory standards and best practice.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Strong communication skills and a people-first approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across your local area.
  • Allocate carers effectively so customers receive consistent, high-quality support.
  • Complete supervisions and observations on time, helping carers grow and maintain great practice.
  • Help recruit and onboard new carers, strengthening the branch’s capacity and community impact.
  • Review and update care plans so they reflect each customer’s needs, preferences and wellbeing.
  • Look for opportunities to grow the branch, supporting local engagement and commercial activity.
  • Champion brilliant customer service, ensuring every interaction feels considered and kind.
