Job summary

Helping Hands in Taunton is seeking a Care Coordinator to join our West 1 branch. You will support the Branch Care Manager, coordinate carers and customers, and ensure visits are well-planned and consistently high-quality.

The role focuses on safeguarding excellent customer service, staff supervision, and branch development while staying compliant with care standards. A Level 3 Diploma and driving license are preferred;join a culture that values growth and impact.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in the care sector, ideally in a supervisory role.
• Good understanding of CQC/CIW regulatory standards and best practices.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across your local area.
• Allocate carers effectively so customers receive consistent, high-quality support.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time, helping carers grow and maintain great practice.
• Help recruit and onboard new carers, strengthening the branch’s capacity and community impact.
• Review and update care plans so they reflect each customer’s needs, preferences and wellbeing.
• Look for opportunities to grow the branch, supporting local engagement and commercial activity.
• Champion brilliant customer service, ensuring every interaction feels considered and kind.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
