Job summary

Radis Community Care in Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales is seeking a Care Co-ordinator to schedule and supervise a team of Care Workers, liaise with Social Services, and support recruitment. The role involves 37.5 hours per week, typically 09:00–17:00, with occasional out-of-hours on-call requirements. Driving is essential as branch coverage includes the local area.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in the social care sector.
• Experience as Care Coordinator, Senior Care Worker or Team Leader is advantageous.
• Must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and allocate work to a team of Care Workers daily/weekly.
• Provide supervision and support to Care Workers and Field Supervisors.
• Liaise with Social Services and other health and social care professionals.
• Assist in recruitment and selection of new staff.
• Perform Care Worker duties when required and participate in on-call out of hours.

About the role

As a Care Co-ordinator you will be required to schedule and allocate work to a team of Care Workers on a daily/weekly basis. You will be providing supervision and support to Care Workers and Field Supervisors. The role will involve liaising with Social Services and all other social and health care professionals involved in the care of service users. There will be also an opportunity to take part in the recruitment and selection of potential employees. The role will also involve performing duties of a Care Worker when required and participate in the out of hours on-call service.

This role is a contract of 37.5 with working typically between the hours of 09:00 – 17:00 Weekdays, however, there may be times outside of these hours depending on operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

• The ideal candidate would have at least 1-2 year's experience in the social care sector


• Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, Senior Care Worker or Team Leader would be advantageous


• The successful candidate would also need to drive and have access to a vehicle
