Job summary

Radis Community Care in Tonypandy is seeking a Care Co-ordinator to schedule and allocate work, supervise care workers and liaise with Social Services. The role involves coordinating daily/weekly activities, supporting field staff and ensuring care quality.

The position is a 37.5-hour contract with typical hours 09:00–17:00 on weekdays, with occasional shifts outside these hours for operational needs and on-call duties. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years' experience in the social care sector.
• Experience as Care Coordinator, Senior Care Worker or Team Leader is advantageous.
• Must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and allocate work to a team of Care Workers daily/weekly.
• Provide supervision and support to Care Workers and Field Supervisors.
• Liaise with Social Services and other health care professionals involved in care.
• Involved in recruitment and selection of potential employees.
• May perform duties of a Care Worker when required and participate in out-of-hours on-call.

About the role

As a Care Co-ordinator you will be required to schedule and allocate work to a team of Care Workers on a daily/weekly basis. You will be providing supervision and support to Care Workers and Field Supervisors. The role will involve liaising with Social Services and all other social and health care professionals involved in the care of service users. There will be also an opportunity to take part in the recruitment and selection of potential employees. The role will also involve performing duties of a Care Worker when required and participate in the out of hours on-call service.

This role is a contract of 37.5 with working typically between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00 Weekdays, however, there may be times outside of these hours depending on operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

• The ideal candidate would have at least 1-2 year's experience in the social care sector
• Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, Senior Care Worker or Team Leader would be advantageous
• The successful candidate would also need to drive and have access to a vehicle
