Care Co-ordinator
Location: Hertfordshire with requirements to travel to services in London & Home Counties

Hours: 40 hours


Pay: £26,000 - £30,000

HG Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and organised Care Co-ordinator, for our client based in Hertfordshire. As a care co-ordinator you will contribute to the management and coordination of the Care Team, ensuring the smooth running of the company's commissioned service. You will be the first point of contact for the day-to-day operational requirements if the care team and the people supported by the company.

This post does not have any registered responsibilities under CQC registration. However, all staff must contribute to ensuring compliance with CQC (and other legal requirements) within their job role.

The Role:


As Care co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements reporting directly to the Manager. With this role you will be based at Head Office in Hertfordshire with requirements to travel to services based in London and the home counties.

Your duties will include:
• Work alongside management to ensure effective structure and organisation

• Complete and maintain monthly schedules for your support packages in line with deadlines

• Ensure the Care Team have appropriate shifts allocated, and that any gaps in schedules are filled with an appropriate Support Worker as soon as possible.

• Monitor and maintain the electronic call monitoring system

• Involvement in relevant meetings related to the people we support, these may involve, families, other professionals or the funders.

• Fill gaps in rotas in emergency situations where you have the necessary skills, experience and appropriate training.

• Provide operational support in relation to complaints, staff grievances and disciplinary issues.

• Support recruitment by interviewing new care staff where appropriate, monitoring compliance status of support delivery team and request appropriate documentation or training courses in a timely manner.

• Support the teams to maintain information of people are documented and recorded on the system.

•To ensure management of employees' sickness and absence as per company policies, including carrying out return to work interviews when relevant.


The Requirements:
You will have proven experience of:

• Full UK driving Licence is essential for this role

• Organising and prioritising workflow

• Keeping accurate records at work

• Utilising IT systems

• Can communicate effectively using various methods

• Responds well to suggestions

• Communicates well with those outside of the organisation

• Shares their own ideas and can build on the ideas of others
