Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking caring individuals to join a purpose-built care home for residents with Dementia and elderly needs. The role involves personal care, housekeeping, and adhering to care plans while maintaining residents' dignity.

You’ll work with the care team, perform nightly checks, and log activities accurately. Applicants should have at least 3 months’ care experience, a DBS within 6 months (or facility to pay £49.50), and mandatory safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• DBS dated within last 6 months (or facility to pay) and mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Moving and Handling, Health & Safety.

Are you looking for an extra income for those unexpected bills?

This purpose-built care home caters for up to 40 residents with Dementia related Illnesses and Illnesses associated with the Elderly. You will be expected to hit the ground running and fit into the existing Care Team. You will also be required to perform general housekeeping duties such as laundry and keeping up with the regular checks on residents and documenting accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with their personal care, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are maintained, ensuring the dignity of all residents.
• Follow individualised care plans precisely to meet the residents unique physical and emotional needs.
• Complete logs, reporting accurately. If any issues are raised report to the person in charge as soon as possible.
• Work effectively and professionally alongside the existing care team to assist them to enhance their resident’s lives.
• To complete nightly checks as per the individuals, care plan
• To assist with general housekeeping duties.

What We Are Looking For:

• At least three months experience in a residential setting is essential.
• An empathetic, patient, and highly motivated attitude towards caring for the Elderly.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and situations with empathy.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing your workload.

For this role, you must have;

• A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront at the cost of £49.50.
• All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Moving and Handling and Health and Safety, ideally with the certificates dated within the last 6 months, or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
• Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years.

We have ongoing hours available and potentially a permanent role for the right candidates!

Shift times are:-

• Night Shifts – 2000 to 0800
• Other shifts are available on request, especially bank holidays!

Rates of pay are £13.25 per hour. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
