Job summary

Belong Newcastle under Lyme is seeking a weekend care assistant to join our not-for-profit, person-centred care team. You will work in one of our households with a warm, friendly team, providing personal care and supporting residents to live independently.

The role requires a care certificate or Level 2 NVQ, and induction over two weeks with two full days per week. DBS check is provided, with extensive training and development opportunities within Belong.

Qualifications

• Must have a care qualification (Care Certificate or Level 2 NVQ).
• Experience in dementia or elder care is beneficial.
• Induction will be delivered over 2 weeks with 2 full days each week.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care to residents.
• Support with daily activities to promote independence.
• Assist with medication management and monitoring.
• Support residents with meals, mobility and daily routines.
• Document care activities and updates on care plans.

What you will be doing…You'll be working in one of our households with a warm, friendly team as aCare Assistant. Must be available to attend initial 4 day induction during the week. The induction will be held over 2 weeks and will 2 full days of each week.

A minimum of care certificate or a level 2 NVQ is required for this role.

You will carry out a variety of duties including:

• Personal care
