Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking care workers to join a team at a Ripley area home. The role offers flexible hours around a main role with weekly paid hours and night shifts available.

Duties include personal care, health and safety adherence, and assisting residents with daily living while maintaining dignity and independence. Applicants should have an Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months, infection control training, and a minimum of 3 months care home experience.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months.
• Infection control, safeguarding vulnerable adults and moving and handling training.
• Referenceable work history.
• At least 3 months experience within a formal care home setting.

Responsibilities

• Following personal care plans
• Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with requirements of the home
• General housekeeping and domestic duties
• Reporting condition updates and recording fluid intakes
• Helping patients remain as independent as possible and catering to their likes and dislikes
• Assisting with daily living activities including morning and night-time routines
• Working alongside support workers and care workers to provide a complex care package tailored to individual needs
• Toileting/bed bathing and strip washing the service users

We are looking for care workers to aid the existing team in caring for service users, providing cover for sickness and holiday leave. The home is located within the Ripley area which has tranquil gardens surrounding the home that make it even more special for the residents.

• Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with requirements of the home
• General housekeeping and domestic duties
• Reporting condition updates and recording fluid intakes
• Helping patients remain as independent as possible and catering to their likes and dislikes
• Assisting with daily living activities including morning and night-time routines
• Working alongside support workers and care works to provide a complex care package tailored to individual needs
• Toileting/bed bathing and strip washing the service users

To demonstrate your experience and suitability for the role of Care Assistant you will need:

• An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
• Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training
• A Referenceable work history
• At least 3 months experience within a formal care home setting

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

You will be working nights on a as required basis throughout the week, with the option to choose the ones that work best for you, typical hours would be 21:45 to 07:00
