Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking experienced weekend Care Assistants to provide ad-hoc cover at a Ripley care home. Roles include assisting with personal care, daily living activities, and following care plans in a dementia-sensitive environment.

The role offers weekend shifts with pay between £13.50 and £14.00 per hour. DBS, infection control, safeguarding, and moving & handling training are required or can be organised via company training packages.

Responsibilities

• Following personal care plans.
• Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with home requirements.
• General housekeeping and domestic duties.
• Reporting condition updates and recording fluid intakes.
• Helping patients remain as independent as possible and catering to their likes and dislikes.
• Assisting with daily living activities including morning and night-time routines.
• Working with support workers to provide a complex care package tailored to individual needs.
• Toileting/bed bathing and strip washing service users.

Job description

Earn up to £14.00 per hour as an experienced care assistant working weekends!

We are looking for Care Assistants local to the Ripley area to provide weekend cover at a care home within the rural area of Ripley. The home is surrounded by secure gardens just off a quiet road.

The home accommodates elderly service users, some of which may be suffering with dementia. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, and the residents are encouraged to bring their own items into the home to make their rooms more homely.

Duties include:

• Following personal care plans
• Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with requirements of the home
• General housekeeping and domestic duties
• Reporting condition updates and recording fluid intakes
• Helping patients remain as independent as possible and catering to their likes and dislikes
• Assisting with daily living activities including morning and night-time routines
• Working alongside support workers and care works to provide a complex care package tailored to individual needs
• Toileting/bed bathing and strip washing the service users

To demonstrate your experience and suitability for the role of Care Assistant you will need:

• An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
• Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training
• A Referenceable work history
• At least 3 months experience within a formal care home setting

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

This role is for ad-hoc shift cover based upon the needs of the home

We are looking for ad-hoc day and night cover over the weekend for sickness and holiday cover with typical hours being:

Early: 06:45 to 14:30

Late: 14:15 to 22:00

Nights: 21:45 to 07:00

The rate of pay for a Care Assistant will be:

Days – Saturday to Sunday £13.50 per hour

Nights – Saturday to Sunday £14.00 per hour
