Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited are seeking an experienced Care Assistant for a busy care home in Burton upon Trent. You will work nights from 22:00 to 07:00, joining a dedicated team caring for 35 service users with age-related illnesses including Alzheimer's and mobility needs.

You will provide high-quality person-centred care, assist with moving and handling, and help with light domestic tasks while following safeguarding and infection control procedures. DBS and vaccines may be required.

Qualifications

• Two employment references (one from a care home)
• In-date mandatory training: moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults, infection control
• Enhanced DBS certificate dated within past 12 months or Update Service
• Experience with Hoists, Slings, Rotundas
• Minimum 6 months paid UK care home experience
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Job description

Immediate Starts with night-time hours as an experienced Carer within a beautiful Care Home in the Burton area.

You will be supporting the existing care team who specialise in illnesses related to old age, such as Alzheimer’s Disease or physical mobility issues.

As a care assistant you will be a key member of the team in providing high standard of care to the 35 service users.

Your duties will include:

• Providing a high standard of care
• Moving and handling
• Completing company paperwork
• Completing light household duties

To apply for this role you must:

• Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
• Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.
• Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas
• Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home.
• Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

This role offers flexible part time hours on a week by week basis

You will be working from 22:00 to 07:00, with hours available on varying days from Monday to Sunday
