Job summary

Bluebird Care Peterborough is seeking a part-time Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes across Peterborough and surrounding areas. You will provide high-quality, person-centered care and assist with daily living activities, while maintaining dignity and independence.

The role offers flexible shifts, full induction, ongoing expert training, and a supportive team with 24/7 help. A valid UK driving licence is required, along with a vehicle access for client visits.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
