Job summary

Bluebird Care Chesterfield is seeking a caring Care Assistant to join our Expert Team. You will support clients with daily living needs in their own homes, working independently or with a supportive team, and help us deliver high-quality, dignified care.

We offer flexible shifts (7am-3pm or 2pm-10pm), full induction and expert training, ongoing career development, and a driving licence is preferred to support travel between clients.

Qualifications

• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required as full training will be provided.
• Must be available every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
