Job summary

Randolph Hill Nursing Homes is seeking an outstanding Care Assistant for our Muirfield home in Gullane, East Lothian. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care, upholding residents’ privacy and dignity, and maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year care experience in elder care (nursing home, hospital, or community).
• Experience in dementia care preferred or knowledge of dementia.
• Strong time management skills and workload prioritisation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, report writing.
• Ability to lead and support a team and uphold standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards of care within the home.
• Uphold residents' rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Adhere to SSSC Code of Conduct.
• Set a professional example in dress, manner, hygiene and behaviour.
• Report injuries, disease or unsafe practices to relevant personnel.
• Maintain accurately written records as required by company policy and regulations.
