Job summary

Bearehill Care Home in Brechin is seeking a Care Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care and emotional support, ensuring residents feel comfortable, respected and valued.

Night shifts are available, and the contract offers up to 44 hours per week. PVG pension, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks of annual leave pro rata for full-time staff are included.

• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

• Provide personal care including mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping residents feel comfortable and valued.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to deliver safe, responsive care.
• Support residents to maintain independence and dignity in daily activities.
• Create a warm, positive environment where relationships matter and people feel cared for.
• Work as part of a supportive team with training and development opportunities.

Job description

Bearehill Care Home is a beautiful Georgian mansion in the charming town of Brechin, surrounded by tranquil gardens and scenic wildlife. The home provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 49 residents. With its sunny conservatory, sensory garden, freshly prepared meals and warm, homely atmosphere, it is a place where residents are supported to live well and feel truly valued.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Nightshift Available
• Contracted Up to 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
