Job summary

Bearehill Care Home, part of Belsize Healthcare, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a shift in delivering high-quality, person-centred care for residents in Brechin.

You will oversee medication, monitor wellbeing, and maintain care records while guiding the care team and communicating with families and healthcare professionals. A SVQ2 in Health & Social Care is required, with Level 3 desirable, plus medication competency.

Qualifications

Bearehill Care Home is a beautiful Georgian mansion in the charming town of Brechin, surrounded by tranquil gardens and scenic wildlife. The home provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 49 residents. With its sunny conservatory, sensory garden, freshly prepared meals and warm, homely atmosphere, it is a place where residents are supported to live well and feel truly valued.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Dayshift & Nightshift Available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
