Job summary

Nexxus Care in Cannock is seeking a Care Assistant to provide in-home support, helping clients remain as independent as possible. You will perform personal care tasks, assist with meals, and provide domestic help in clients' homes.

Full training is provided at our dedicated training hub in Cannock; drivers licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to individuals in their own homes to promote independence.
• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, showering and toileting.
• Support with meals and hydration as needed.
• Carry out domestic tasks including laundry and cleaning.
• Monitor changes in wellbeing, mobility or behaviour and report observations.
• Ensure accurate documentation of duties performed and observations.

About The Role

Care Assistant - Domiciliary Care- Cannock and surrounding

We offer a wide range of working hours and flexibility including:

• Mornings from 7am - 2pm
• Alternate weekends

As a care assistant you will provide care to individuals in their own home to ensure they remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.

The role will include support with:

• Double up calls
• Assisting clients with personal care tasks - washing, showering and toileting
• Promoting dignity
• Medication administration
• Preparing meals and supporting clients during eating and drinking, where required
• Domestic help including laundry and general cleaning
• Monitoring changes in clients wellbeing, mobility or behaviour
• Ensuring accurate documentation of any duties completed and observations
