Job summary

Nexxus Care is recruiting a dedicated Care Assistant to provide in-home support in Cannock and surrounding areas. You will help clients stay as independent as possible by assisting with daily tasks, personal care, meal support, and companionship.

Full training is provided at our Cannock hub; a driving licence and access to a car are essential. A DBS check and a comprehensive onboarding process are part of joining Nexxus Care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks - washing, showering and toileting
• Promoting dignity
• Medication administration
• Preparing meals and supporting clients during eating and drinking, where required
• Domestic help including laundry and general cleaning
• Monitoring changes in clients wellbeing, mobility or behaviour
• Ensuring accurate documentation of any duties completed and observations
• Drivers licence and access to a car are essential
• All successful candidates are subject to an enhanced DBS check as well as a complete onboarding process.

We offer a wide range of working hours and flexibility including:

• Evenings from 3.30pm - 10pm
• Weekends or Alternate weekends
• Single or Double up calls

As a care assistant you will provide care to individuals in their own home to ensure they remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.

The role will include support with:
