Job summary

Bluebird Care Lisburn & Down is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our Lisburn & Down team. This role offers a competitive hourly rate (£13.10–£15) with full training, mileage allowance, and a supportive leadership team. You will provide high-quality personal care and help with daily tasks while building trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK.
• A kind and compassionate attitude with a calm approach to care.
• Weekend hours available (every other weekend or one day each weekend).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Previous care experience beneficial but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all customers.
