Job summary

Dale Care Ltd in County Durham is seeking a Reablement Care Worker to help service users regain independence after illness or hospital discharge. You will respond quickly with compassion, support daily living activities, and promote dignity within the community.

This role is based in Stanley and surrounding areas, requires a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, and offers guaranteed hours, with morning and evening shifts and weekend rotas.

Qualifications

REABLEMENT CARE WORKER – JOIN OUR TEAM IN COUNTY DURHAM

Location: Stanley DH9 and Surrounding Area

A full driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role

Shifts: 7am to 2pm and 3pm to 10pm (this is a guaranteed-hours contract)

Reablementcarersfocusonhelpingpeopledothingsforthemselvesratherthandoingtasksontheirbehalf.Theysupportindividualsinactivitiessuchascooking,washing,dressing,movingaroundthe home and participating in social activities using a “doing with” approach that encourages autonomy and confidence.

Their work is typically short‑term, intensive and goal focused often lasting up to six weeks although the duration may vary depending on the person’s progress.

What We Are Looking For

• Travel Requirements: This is a community-based role, so a full UK driving licence, your own car, and business insurance are essential.
• Right to Work: You must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship currently.
