Job summary

Clarence Park Care Home in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with complex needs, including dementia and other long-term health challenges. The role focuses on safe, person-centred care that preserves dignity and wellbeing within a supportive team.

You will follow care plans, maintain routines and build positive relationships with residents while developing your skills in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience in care or mental health is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges.
• Provide safe, consistent and person centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Follow individual care plans and support structured routines.
• Build positive relationships with residents and respond appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
• Assist with daily living tasks and ensure care is delivered safely.
