Job summary

Strong Life Care is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with high-quality care in a home setting. Reporting to the Senior Carer, you will contribute to clinical and dementia-related care, ensuring dignity and person-centred support.

You will participate in care planning, observe residents’ needs, and assist with daily activities, including meals and mobility, within a compassionate and compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high-quality relationship-centred care.
• Good communication and observational skills in a care home setting.
• Understanding of dementia care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide and assist with all aspects of care in the home.
• Deliver care with continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Assist with basic nursing care to residents as needed.
• Engage with residents to promote dignity and individual needs.
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure appropriate meals.
• Identify and report care issues to Senior Carers.
• Assist with weighing residents and participate in activities.
• Ensure care plans are reviewed and updated regularly.

Skills

Strong customer service skills

Excellent written and verbal comms

Knowledge of dementia (desirable)

Education

QCF Diploma Level 2/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care

Willingness to work towards QCF Diploma Level 2
