Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes is seeking a Care Assistant for day shifts at Blatchington Manor, our specialist dementia care and residential home in East Sussex. You will provide high quality personal care, support residents’ independence, and assist with feeding and social activities as part of a caring team.

Training is provided; a kind, energetic and reliable attitude is essential. This full-time role offers weekday and weekend shifts with competitive pay and benefits.

• Provide high quality personal care and social interaction to residents.
• Promote independence and enablement and support residents as needed.

We are looking for Care Assistant to join our team on days at Blatchington Manor, our specialist dementia care, residential home

Hours: 36 or 42 hrs per week.

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents' personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

More about you:

• Ideally, you'll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;
