Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a kind, dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily activities in our England-based homes. You will help with dressing, bathing, mobility and personal hygiene while respecting privacy, dignity and independence.

The role promotes our values of respect, openness and responsibility and provides learning opportunities, DBS checks and supportive teams across our 26 homes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates understanding of residents' needs and confidentiality.
• Must be able to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Experience in elder care is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to residents while promoting independence, privacy, dignity and choice.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, toileting and daily personal hygiene.
• Support mobility and use of aids and equipment as needed.
• Promote Greensleeves Care values of respect, openness and responsibility.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care.

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

• An understanding of the needs of residents
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
• Experience of providing care (Desirable)
• Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
