Job summary

Elizabeth Finn Homes is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care at Rush Court Care Home in Wallingford. You will support residents with daily living activities, working with clinical and senior teams to create a safe, engaging environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.

Weekend availability is required; permanent full-time/part-time roles available. Start date and schedule may vary.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Experience caring for older people.
• Basic knowledge of Care Workers’ Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities in line with their individual needs and preferences.
• Building meaningful relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Encouraging residents to take part in activities, hobbies and social engagement within the home.
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to senior team members.
• Maintaining accurate care records and following agreed care plans.
• Helping to create a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
• Working as part of a supportive team and taking part in training and development opportunities.
