Elizabeth Finn Homes seeks a compassionate Housekeeping Assistant at Rush Court Care Home in Wallingford. You will assist in daily cleaning to create a clean, safe and comfortable environment, working with catering and care teams to deliver prompt, courteous service for residents.

This part-time role is up to 26 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.45. Weekend availability is required; you must have the right to work in the UK, and sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Good general education.
• Basic Food Awareness Certificate or NVQ level 2 is desirable (or willingness to work towards it).
• In good general health to meet the requirements of the role.
• Empathy with older people

Responsibilities

• Carry out high‑quality cleaning across all areas, including bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices, corridors, windows, and fixtures.
• Follow agreed cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross‑infection and maintain a safe environment.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
• Take responsibility for Health & Safety and COSHH compliance, reporting hazards, accidents, or concerns without delay.
• Work effectively to schedules and time limits, supporting colleagues, attending training/meetings, and reporting any resident concerns to care or nursing staff.
