Job summary

Bupa Care Assistant role at Heathbrook House Care Home in Bromsgrove offers a bank contract with hourly pay of £13.10–£14.10, depending on experience. You will provide person-centred care, supporting residents’ independence and dignity within a supportive, inclusive team.

A DBS check and uniform are provided, with flexible shifts to suit you. The role emphasises compassion, clear communication and teamwork, ensuring residents live a life they love while adhering to health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Ability to support residents with varying needs with respect and dignity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Experience in a care home setting or relevant qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe and document residents' behaviour and changes per regulations.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration following each care plan.
• Provide stimulation through social and recreational activities, individually or in groups.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.

Care Assistant (Bank) Heathbrook House Care Home, 223/229 Worcester Road, Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire B61 7JA £13.10 - £14.10 per hour dependent on experience Bank contract

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
