Job summary

Staplehurst Manor Care Home in Tonbridge is seeking a Care Assistant (Bank) to join our team. You will support residents with companionship and personal care, helping them maintain independence and dignity.

We offer flexible shifts, a fully paid induction, and DBS clearance supported by Bupa. Training and development are encouraged as part of a caring, supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe and document changes in residents’ behaviour per legislation.
• Support residents’ nutrition and hydration per care plan.
• Provide physical and mental stimulation through activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
