Job summary

The Kensington Care Home in Notting Hill is seeking a Care Assistant on a bank, zero-hours basis to support residents with companionship, personal care, and overall well-being. You will help with meals, hydration, activities, and accurate care planning, within a values-driven environment at Bupa.

We value bravery, caring, and responsibility, and offer flexible patterns, fully paid induction, and meal provision on shifts, with DBS and uniform covered by Bupa.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe residents and report changes in line with legislation.
• Support residents with nutrition and hydration according to care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

What we're looking for

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
