Job summary

The Amwell Care Home in Melton Mowbray is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, ensuring dignity and wellbeing in a compassionate, team‑driven environment.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional support, follow care plans and contribute to safe, responsive care. Full training and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop in care roles.
• NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Previous caregiving experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans to deliver safe, responsive and consistent care.

Job description

Our private, luxury care home is in the beautiful market town of Melton Mowbray. We offer Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 88-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 38.5-44 hours per week - Days & nights available
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
