Job summary

Bluebird Care Welwyn Hatfield is looking for a compassionate Care Assistant to join our care expert team. You’ll support customers at home, follow care plans, and help with daily living tasks across Welwyn Hatfield and surrounding areas.

We offer a thorough induction with expert training, flexible shifts, a uniform and PPE, and a supportive team with 24/7 guidance. A full UK driving licence is preferred to reach clients, and DBS checks and references are completed in line with government

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain professional care standards.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required due to full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s needs.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medications and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable, friendly face for customers you care for.

Pay

Probation Period

• Weekdays £14.15
• Weekend rate: £14.55
• Bank Holiday rate: £20.60
• 40p Milage

After Probation

• Weekday rate: £14.75
• Weekend rate: £15.15
• Bank Holiday rate: £21.10
• 40p Milage

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
