Job summary

Bluebird Care Welwyn and Hatfield is seeking a caring Care Assistant to join our expert team. You’ll support customers in their homes, helping with daily living tasks and maintaining independence with dignity.

We offer full induction and ongoing expert training, flexible shift patterns, and a supportive team with 24/7 guidance. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to reach clients across Welwyn, Hatfield and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s needs.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with meals, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medications and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable, friendly presence for customers.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
• Part time or Full time hours
• Full induction and ongoing expert training
• Uniform and PPE provided
• Regular support and ongoing career development
• Friendly, inclusive team with 24/7 support

Pay

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
