Quantum Care in Watford is seeking a Care Assistant to join Courtland Lodge. You will provide compassionate, person‑centred care for residents and support daily living activities.

You’ll work as part of a friendly team, following care plans, and participate in ongoing training. Weekend and Bank Holiday shifts are included, with a strong focus on dignity and independence for residents.

Contract: Flexible/Bank

Hour: Flexible hours

Pay: £13.61 per hour weekdays & £14.61 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 7.30am to 2.30pm/2.30pm to 9.30pm – Weekdays and alternative Weekends

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming team at Courtland Lodge Care Home in Watford. This is a 60 bed heritage care home is set in a peaceful residential area of North Watford, with welcoming communal spaces, conveniently located within travel distance from Watford Town Centre and benefiting from excellent transport links.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person‑centric care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first‑class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365‑day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person‑centred care
