Quantum Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for our Vesta Lodge home in St Albans. You will help residents with personal care, meals and daily activities, in a supportive, respectful environment. Training is provided and weekend shifts are included to meet the needs of residents.

The role requires compassion, reliability and a positive attitude. You will join a 61-bed home known for its values-driven culture and a commitment to dignity and independence for all residents.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; full training provided.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families and colleagues.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to residents with dignity.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and meals.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health or wellbeing to the team.
• Follow individual care plans and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high quality, person-centred care.

Contract: Full Time - Perm

Pay: £13.61 per hour weekdays & £14.61 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 7.30am to 2.30pm/2.30pm to 9.30pm – Weekdays and alternative Weekends

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming Care Home Vesta Lodge based in St Albans. Vesta Lodge is a 61 bed residential care home which is welcoming, values driven based team where collaboration, compassion, respect and person‑centred care is at the heart of everything they do.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first‑class training will do the rest.


• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.


• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.


• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365‑day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).


• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.


• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence


• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues


• Follow individual personalised care plans


• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person‑centred care
