Job summary

Advantage Healthcare in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support a young client at home and in the community. You will help with mobility, medications, PEG feeding and catheter care, providing compassionate, person-centred support to enable independence and safety within the family environment.

Training will be provided to cover the client’s specific needs, including management of challenging behaviours, and you’ll join a team committed to high-quality care,

Qualifications

• Experience of working with challenging behaviours.
• Experience of supporting a young paediatric client is desired.
• Experience of dealing with PEG feeds and Catheter care is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support client at home and in the community with mobility and daily tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist with PEG feeding and catheter care.
• Monitor health needs and report changes to the family or carers.
• Maintain clear and compassionate communication with the client and family.

Shifts Available: 1 x10 hour shift nights, 2x7 hour shift days Sat and Sun only

Job Description

This role will require you to support our client at home and in the community with her mobility, medication, PEG feed, Catheter Care and medical needs due to Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Our client lives with her family and enjoys spending time with siblings and her extended family. You will receive all the required training to support this young person to live as independently as possible, good communication will be required as our client can exhibit challenging behaviours due to their condition.

Qualifications

Experience of working with challenging behaviours is desired.

Experience of supporting a young paediatric client is desired.

Experience of dealing with PEG feeds and Catheter care is desired.
