Job summary

Advantage Healthcare is looking for compassionate care staff to support a young client with Autism, ADHD, Global Development Delay and PICA. You will provide intimate personal care, manage infection control and provide constant supervision in home and community settings, adapting to each day’s needs.

Experience in complex care is essential and you will read social cues of non-verbal clients. Join a team within City & County Healthcare Group, with a focus on reliable, emotionally resilient staff

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care is essential.
• Knowledge of Autism or ADHD.
• Ability to read social cues of non-verbal clients.
• Ability to interpret body language or use PECS.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care at home and in the community.
• Assist with infection control and safety measures.
• Deliver constant supervision to ensure a safe environment.
• Support day-to-day activities within the client’s routine.

Job Description

What you'll do

The client is a young gentleman in his teens who has Autism, ADHD, Global Development Delay & PICA.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and has a strong emotional resilience to join our existing team where no two days are the same.

Your day-to-day would include providing personal care, infection control and constant supervision to ensure a safe environment at all times at home and in the community.

What you'll need

Experience in complex care is essential for this position, inclusive of the following:

• Knowledge of Autism or ADHD
• The ability to read social cues of non-verbal clients.
• The ability to interpret body language or to use visual aids such as PECS.
• Consistency, emotional resilience & the ability to build trust.
