Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Limited is seeking a dedicated Children’s Complex Care Assistant to join our team in Bolton. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop skills in caring for a child with a neurological condition, including PEG feeding and routine medications.

You’ll work with a supportive team, gain night and day shift experience (Afternoon 3 pm - 9 pm and 9 pm - 7 am), and contribute to a compassionate care plan while building rapport with the family and child.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children beneficial.
• Ability to work night and days.
• Social and outgoing person.
• Can build a rapport with a young person who is non verbal but communicates using finger and eye movements.

Responsibilities

• Assist a child with a neurological condition and complex care needs.
• Provide support for PEG feeding and regular medication administration.
• Help create a safe, engaging home environment and reduce self-harm risk.

Job Description

What you’ll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Children’s Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas and with this particular child who has a Neurological condition leading to Global Development and Neurological Development delays and Self Harming behaviours. Our client has a PEG feed, needs regular medication and support to help with avoiding situation leading to self harm. They enjoy time at home in the garden, playing football and spending time with their family.

Qualifications

Experience working with children will be beneficial.
