Job summary

Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham is seeking a Care Assistant to provide person-centred care for residents, supporting daily living and wellbeing. You will work with a supportive team in a home focused on dignity, independence and respectful care.

Role welcomes both experienced carers and newcomers, with full training and ongoing development. Full-time contracts include 33 or 44 hours per week, DBS paid, uniform provided and annual leave.

About Avalon Park Care Home

Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham provides residential and residential dementia care for older people. With 58 bedrooms, the home offers a welcoming environment focused on person centred care, wellbeing and independence. As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive environment, helping residents enjoy meaningful daily lives while developing your skills and experience.

Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 33 or 44hrs hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
• Day shifts 8-8

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.
You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
